For Dubai's standard, non-nominated Skilled Professionals route, the qualifying threshold is AED 30,000 in monthly basic salary. Housing, transport and other allowances do not count toward that Dubai basic-salary test.

The Skilled Professionals Golden Visa has a published monthly salary threshold of AED 30,000. For the standard Dubai route without government nomination, the amount must be met through basic salary alone—not a total package inflated by allowances.
Salary is one part of eligibility. A qualifying UAE job, occupational Level 1 or 2, a bachelor's degree or equivalent, valid employment documents and other supporting evidence are also required. Nomination-based routes and applications outside Dubai use different salary calculations and requirements.

For Dubai Skilled Professionals applications, your employer records and bank statements should consistently support the declared salary.

- Passport and valid UAE residence or work-permit documents

What about the two-year salary history?
For Dubai's non-nominated route, reported requirements introduced in late 2025 call for proof that the applicant earned at least AED 30,000 in monthly basic salary during the previous two years, alongside qualifying employment history. The last six months of bank statements are a separate listed documentary requirement, not a replacement for the longer eligibility history.

Qualified executives, managers and specialists must hold an accepted occupation classification under the applicable records.
Eligible UAE employment
A valid employment contract or salary certificate and the applicable work-permit records are needed. Dubai's non-nominated cases face further employment-history checks.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
The degree must meet recognition or attestation requirements. A higher salary does not remove the education condition.
Additional professional conditions
Some occupations require a professional licence. Health insurance and other Golden Residence documentation also apply.

For mainland employees, occupation classification, employment documentation and salary details must align with the available MOHRE records. Bank transfers help substantiate income.
Accepted free-zone employment evidence
Free-zone employees can be eligible. Their employer or free-zone authority may need to provide an accepted employment contract or salary certificate, with bank transfer evidence and other required documentation.
An employee's free-zone status does not automatically establish eligibility. Salary, professional classification and documentary criteria still apply.

Can you obtain a Golden Visa with less than AED 30,000?
The AED 30,000 requirement applies to the salary-based Skilled Professionals route. Earning less does not automatically rule out every other category. Qualifying property investors, entrepreneurs, outstanding students and graduates, and certain exceptional or nominated specialists may have different eligibility criteria.

Yes, if the applicant meets the applicable criteria and provides accepted employment, salary and qualification evidence. A free-zone employer salary certificate may form part of the documentation.
Which job classification is required?
The standard Skilled Professionals category targets recognised senior Level 1 or specialist Level 2 occupations under the MOHRE professional classification, or equivalent accepted evidence.
Can I apply after receiving a recent salary increase?
A recent raise to AED 30,000 basic salary may not satisfy the required salary-history period for Dubai's non-nominated route. Your employer and transfer records must support the applicable history.
Is AED 30,000 salary enough without a bachelor's degree?
No. The standard Skilled Professionals route also requires at least a bachelor's degree or equivalent, as well as qualifying employment and other supporting evidence.
Can I apply for a Golden Visa with a salary below AED 30,000?
You do not meet the salary threshold for the ordinary Skilled Professionals route. Separate investor, entrepreneur, outstanding-student or nominated-talent pathways have their own requirements.
