What is an NOC for a UAE Golden Visa?
An NOC (No Objection Certificate) is a letter in which an organisation confirms it does not object to a specified action. For a Golden Visa, the requested action and the issuing organisation depend on the applicant's situation.
For example, an employer may confirm it has no objection to an employee applying for Golden Residency. A mortgage lender may confirm it has no objection to residence issuance on the financed property. These are different documents.

Is an NOC required for every Golden Visa?
No. Dubai's published requirements for skilled professionals list a valid employment contract or salary certificate, salary-transfer bank statements, degree documentation and applicable professional licences. A general employer NOC is not listed as a universal requirement for every applicant.
An NOC can still be requested by a particular employer, free-zone authority, bank or immigration process. If you receive a document request, use the exact wording and document type specified for your case.
Important distinction: A salary certificate, employment contract and NOC are not the same document. Do not replace required salary or employment evidence with an NOC.

Employer NOC requirements and checklist
When your application channel explicitly requests an employer NOC, ask the authorised company representative to issue a letter that identifies both parties and the purpose of the no-objection statement.
Official company letterhead, legal company name and issue date.
Employee's full name and passport number; Emirates ID if applicable.
Current job title and confirmation of employment.
Clear no-objection statement referring to a UAE Golden Visa or Golden Residency application.
Authorised signatory's name, title and company contact details.
Company stamp, if the issuing company or receiving authority requires one.
Include salary or other details only when specifically requested. The salary certificate and employment contract usually serve those separate functions.

For property investors
Bank NOC for a mortgaged-property Golden Visa
If you are applying through a qualifying mortgaged property in Dubai, the bank NOC is a lender-issued document, not an employer letter. Dubai Land Department states that the bank letter should confirm:
The bank does not object to issuing residence on the mortgaged property.
The amount already paid towards the property.
The outstanding mortgage balance.
The lender should issue the letter in its own approved format. A self-written bank NOC cannot replace a bank-issued document.
Some Golden Visa-related processes require a letter issued by the relevant free-zone or licensing authority instead of, or in addition to, an employer letter. Requirements differ by zone and application route.
For example, Dubai Development Authority has an Other Letter or NOC service through which a company can request a specific third-party letter. That does not mean every free-zone Golden Visa applicant must obtain one. Check the document request and source of the letter before applying.
